Choosing the Right Contractor For You (Check List)

There are many contractors out there. How do you know who to use? There are several things you want to find out:

How is there reputation?

Do they provide a quality product?

Do they try to low ball the initial bid to get the job and then charge through the nose for any extras?

Are they licensed? There are many contractors that claim to be licensed but are not. Ask to see their pocket license and then get the number and look it up on the internet.

Do they have Insurance? There are a large percentage of contractors that don’t carry liability insurance.

Do they have Worker’s Compensation for all of there workers. If they don’t and someone gets hurt working on your property, you may be liable.

Do they stand behind there work?
